Willard The Wizard Window Card |
Harry Francis Willard (December
12, 1895 - June 28, 1970) who performed under the name Willard The
Wizard was one of the best magicians of the twentieth century. He
did not get a worldwide reputation like his contemporaries because
he spent most of his career on the road, in the Texas area, with his
full evening outdoor show commonly referred to as a "tent
show."
This is an original window card
that was used to promote the show. It features a large photo of
Harry Willard and the following captions: "Original Willard The
Wizard and Company -- The Most Delightful Mystic of all times -- On
stage Harry Willard in person."
The 14x22 inch, two-color poster is printed on heavy
cardboard and has room at the top for the show information to be
printed or written. This is an original.=== SOLD OUT === |

The Wizard Engagement Contract |
This is
an original, unused Willard The Wizard engagement contract (in
duplicate) which outlines all the details which must be met before
the Willard show can be booked. Outlined in the contract is who will
pay for and who is responsible for advertising, theater, crews,
travel expenses, posters, tickets and much more. It is full of
insight of what this type of show entails. You learn that Willard
supplied numbered tickets (see above) to the theater and before his
performance the sponsor would be obligated to meet backstage with
the unsold tickets and pay Willard his fee based on the agreed upon
percentage. The size of the contract is 8.5x13 inches.
