A 11"x16" two-color window card used to
promote Reno (Edward Munn Reno - August 23, 1861-April 2, 1949)
who was a popular performer on the Lyceum and Chautauqua circuits
for several decades and continued to perform into his 80s. This
"Magic and Mystery" window card features a distinguished
photograph of Reno surrounded by eight illustrations of him
performing with flowers, doves, ducks, water bowls, and mentalism.
Most of the images have him holding a magic wand which he liked to
refer to as a "stick" and would often say, "it's all
in the stick," giving the wand credit of accomplishing the
impossible magic. The poster which is printed on stiff board is not dated but is most likely from
the early 1900s. This is an original.
